IT&E INTRODUCES TALAYA
DSL
IT&E proudly
introduces Talaya DSL (Digital Subscriber Lines) which uses
a new broadband technology that provides
for high-speed connections to the Internet over a single
pair of copper phone lines. This allows for both a voice
channel for normal phone use and a dedicated data channel
for high-speed access to the Internet.
The Talaya DSL connection
is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just click and
go. And the connections are very
fast. Get ready to ‘fish the Internet up to 20 times
faster’ with Talaya DSL. For example, a file that normally
would take an hour to download from the net will now take
a few minutes, while the average web page pops up in seconds.
Now signing up for Talaya DSL is extremely easy
and can be accomplish in four (4) simple steps. First, if
you are the
authorized GTA subscriber of the phone line, have DSL service
available in your area, and possess the required computer
hardware - then you are well on your way to getting Talaya
DSL service. Simply apply for or switch your current Talaya
service to a Talaya DSL account. There are several Talaya
DSL service plans available and customers can choose from
a variety of DSL equipment packages. You can even bundle
your Talaya DSL service with Long Distance and/or IT&E
Wireless 100% Digital PCS for even greater savings. Meanwhile,
installation of the required DSL equipment is done professionally
by PC Outlet. PC Outlet will install the required client
software, the DSL modem and associated equipment (NIC card),
and they will test the new set up to ensure that everything
works. Finally, once the initial steps are completed, IT&E
will activate your Talaya DSL account and bring you online
for Talaya DSL service.
"
We wanted to make the installation process for Talaya DSL
as simple and smooth as possible,” said IT&E General
Manager Joseph Perez. “So we will be activating Talaya
DSL service for our customers from start to finish. We will
assist in activating the DSL line, coordinate the purchase
and installation of the DSL modem and associated equipment,
and set up our customers’ new Talaya DSL Internet accounts.” Perez
said.
In addition to the new Talaya DSL service, IT&E
also provides the largest Internet Backbone connection – using
a DS3 pipeline that is sure to complement the speed of DSL.
“
Having a super fast local connection is great,” said
Perez, “But the backbone connection to the Internet
must be sufficient in order to truly enjoy the quickness
of DSL.” “IT&E provides the region’s
largest connection to the Internet, so there are no bottlenecks
past the local DSL connection.” Perez continued.
